Job Description
General Manager - Board Member
Ensuring the compliance of the constitution and to provide administrative support, including scheduling online meetings, recording meeting minutes, managing correspondence, and maintaining organizational records digitally.
Experience: Minimum 5 years of similar experience in a committee or board (eg. Sports club / not for profit organisation / government / business etc). Must have applied experience in cloud storage / file sharing (eg. Google Drive), word processing, spreadsheet and hosting virtual meeting. Experience working in leadership position is an asset.

- Proficiency in setting up and maintaining organized records and documentation.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- High level of accuracy in taking and transcribing minutes.
- Detail-oriented approach to ensure adherence to the organization’s constitution.
4. **Technical Proficiency**
- Proficiency in using Zoom and other video conferencing tools.
- Skilled in using word processing and spreadsheet software (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Workspace).
- Familiar with Google Workspace and secured file sharing .
5. **Understanding of Governance and Compliance**
- Thorough understanding of not-for-profit governance principles.
- Knowledge of the organization’s constitution and bylaws, with the ability to ensure compliance.
6. **Meeting Management**
- Experience in coordinating and managing virtual meetings across different time zones.
- Ability to set agendas, organize meeting materials, and follow up on action items.
7. **Interpersonal Skills**
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with board members, staff, and volunteers.
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships within the organization.
8. **Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills**
- Ability to analyze issues and develop solutions in alignment with the constitution.
- Proactive approach to identifying and addressing potential compliance issues.
9. **Leadership and Team Collaboration**
- Leadership skills to guide and support the board and staff in their roles.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
10. **Ethical Judgment and Integrity**
- High level of integrity and commitment to upholding the organization’s values and visions
