WBLGN Ambassador Shonly Wallace named 1st female scout in NLL history

Shonly Wallace, who grew up playing box lacrosse in Canada, has been named the first female scout in National Lacrosse League (NLL) history, joining the Albany FireWolves as their college scout. Wallace, who has a strong passion for both indoor and outdoor lacrosse, also serves as an ambassador for the Women’s Box Lacrosse Global Network (GN), promoting the sport’s growth worldwide. Her extensive background, including playing for Canada in the Women’s World Box Lacrosse Championship and coaching at Central Michigan University, positions her as a key figure in advancing women’s box lacrosse on a global stage.

As a GN ambassador, Wallace is committed to increasing visibility and opportunities for women in box lacrosse. Her groundbreaking role with the FireWolves exemplifies the growing inclusion of women in the sport, and her efforts will undoubtedly inspire future generations of female athletes to follow in her footsteps.
