WBOX GRIT (Global Rise International Tournament) is a premier women’s box lacrosse event organized by the Women’s Box Lacrosse Global Network (WBLGN). It showcases top-level competition, promotes inclusivity, and brings together teams from around the world to celebrate the growth of women’s box lacrosse.

Tournament date: July 11-13, 2025

Venue: Port Coquitlam Community Centre. 2150 Wilson Ave, Port Coquitlam, British Columbia, V3C 6J5, Canada.

Registration Fee: $2200

Payment 1: non-refundable deposit of $1100.00 by 11 April, 2025, 

Payment 2: $1100,00 CAD  due 1 May, 2025.

Team registration deadline: 1 April, 2025

🏆 5 Games Guaranteed

🎮 Game Format: 4 x 12-minute periods, with stop time in the final 2 minutes of the 4th quarter.

📜 Tournament Rules: Follows World Lacrosse 🌍 International Box Lacrosse Rules.

👩‍🏫 Coaching Requirement: Each team must have at least one female coach on the bench.

👥 Team Roster Recommendation: 18 - 22 players (including 2 dressed goalies 🥅).

Getting There:

✈️ By Air: Fly into Vancouver International Airport (YVR) – the nearest major airport, located about 40 km (25 miles) from Port Coquitlam.

🚗 From the Airport:

• Taxi/Ride Share: A direct taxi or Uber/Lyft ride takes approximately 40-50 minutes.

• Car Rental: Available at YVR for those preferring to drive.

• Public Transit: Take the Canada Line SkyTrain to Waterfront Station, transfer to the West Coast Express trainto Port Coquitlam Station, then walk or take a short taxi to the venue.

🚆 From Downtown Vancouver: The West Coast Express commuter train runs from Waterfront Station to Port Coquitlam Station on weekdays. Alternatively, TransLink buses provide regular service.
