Who are your inspirations?

I have grown up in a country known for its passion for sports so the role models have been plentiful. I can remember being at school at an early age and watching Sonia O Sullivan win medals at the Olympics and feeling proud to be Irish. More recently I find myself being immensely proud of Irelands Women’s Soccer team. They have such a disproportionate level of support and funding and yet they are smashing barriers that the men’s team could never dream of doing, like qualifying for the World Cup! They embody the power behind a group of athletes with one collective vision. Finally on a personal level, my dad has always supported my passion for sports and those car journeys with him on weekends throughout my formative years really shaped my understanding of the sportsmanship and the purpose of sport! They are life lessons I won’t forget.
